Karl Perazzo and Raul Rekow
Q & A session at LP

Santana's percussionists Karl Perazzo and Raul Rekow visited the Latin Percussion office during their East Coast clinic tour. While at LP, they treated the employees to a question and answer session along with a jam. They also demonstrated their signature line of instruments: the LP Raul Rekow Signature Series Congas and Bongos and the LP Karl Perazzo Signature Timbales.

Karl started playing drums at an early age. In 1991, his life-long dream of playing with Santana was realized when he joined the band to play timbales. He jokes that every young musician has an idol he wishes to play with and his was Santana. Amazingly, he acheived his goal and is known worldwide for his playing.

For over thirty years Rekow has added his colorful rhythms to the Santana sound captivating audiences on all five continents. Intially self taught, Raul decided to get serious and studied with the master himself, Armando Peraza, a veteran Santana member.
