LP artists were the talk of the town at this year's NAMM Show
in Anaheim, CA, due, in part, to a gala endorser cocktail reception
the company hosted the evening of Friday, January 18th. In addition
to celebrating with nearly 100 of the company's top artists, elder
statesmen of percussion
Candido Camero and Armando
Peraza were honored with Lifetime Achievement
Awards. "This event was a token of thanks to the LP
artists who have
been loyal throughout the years, as well as to recognize
the tremendous achievements and contributions of Candido and Armando
to our business and the entire music industry," says LP's Director
of Artist Relations, Steve Nigohosian.
Also in attendance was LP
Founder Martin Cohen, as well
as members of the press. (The event also made the front page of
NAMM's
Upbeat Daily publication on Sunday, January 20, 2008.
